‘Save Hondoq’ movement condemns MEPA

The ‘Save Hondoq` movement condemned the attitude of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and the developers at the public hearing of the environmental impact assessment of Hondoq.

The NGO condemned without reservations the attitude and arrogance of numerous individuals, including MEPA, on the manner that the issue was dealt with during the hearing.

The NGO pointed out that there were a number of foreigners who reside in Qala and turned up for the hearing.

“It was shameful how foreigners were insulted by members of the public in favour of the development to the extent that some of the foreigners walked out.”
